Even in an apocalyptic and rubbish world, the Lokis still hasn't given up on their true nature of mischief: they still cheat, betray and kill each other to fight for … the dirty throne on the ruins. However, at critical moments, several Variants decide to rise to their "nobility".

At the TVA, Judge Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) explains to Sylvie that when they pruned a Variant, we cannot destroy all of its matter, but instead expelled them to the Void at the end of time where the Variants could no longer grow.

After being overturned by Ravonna and surrounded by TVA hunters, Sylvie decides to stab herself with a TVA's prune to reach the Void – in the hopes of finding the mainstream Loki.

Upon entering the Void, Sylvie is soon hunted by Alioth, and she has a premonition that the monster is guarding something - possibly the home of the big guy behind the TVA, and it can be enchanted.

She meets Mobius, then the mainstream Loki, and proposes a plan to hypnotize Alioth. The plan gets the support of the other Lokis: Kid Loki gives the Asgardian stabber to mainstream Lokie, while Classic Loki sacrifices himself to distract Alioth allowing Sylvie to manifest her enchantment, revealing a narrow entrance to a mystical mansion.

Alioth's appearance in episode 5 further reinforces the prevailing theory that "Kang the Conqueror" is the man behind TVA. In Marvel Comics, Alioth is a trans-temporal entity that exists across different timelines as a giant black cloud that destroys all it touches, causing a massive and devastating time disturbance in all dimensions.

Kang created a barrier to prevent Alioth from invading his empire. However, after Kang's death, Ravonna (yes, the same name as the judge character in the Multifaceted Loki) accidentally broke the barrier causing Alioth to begin to threaten not only Kang's empire but many other time-worlds.
