Is 2021 too late for a Black Widow's solo movie?

Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) first appeared in MCU films beginning with Iron Man 2 in 2010. It sadly takes more than a decade for a solo movie about this beloved superheroine to come up, especially after her death in The Avengers: Endgame.

Black Widow is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 7, 2021, as the first film in Phase Four of the MCU.

In the Endgame, Black Widow and Hawkeye needed to sacrifice someone they loved so they could get the Soul Stone as part of the time heist. The heroin ended up sacrificing herself so Hawkeye could go back to his family once the snap was undone.

Black Widow's sacrfice was something essential for the fight against Thanos who was defeated after Iron Man’s final snap. The surviving heroes attended Iron Man’s memorial service and all paid respect to him, however Black Widow didn’t get any memorial or ceremony - she was totally forgotten by some mistakes from ... the movie makers.

Fans of Black Widow always feel sorry for her death as well as her being "forgotten". So it's never too late to have a solo movie about her.

The plot of Black Widow 2021 is also interesting enough: Following the events of Captain America: Civil War (2016), Natasha Romanoff finds herself alone and forced to confront a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past. She had to face the powerful Task Master who was hired to hunt down the Avengers, whereas she was his first target.
