In Episode 6 of Superman & Lois - "Broken Trust", Clark Kent shows up just in time to save Jordan from Tag's attack. Although not seriously injured, Jordan begin to show signs of supernatural outbursts and disorders but always deliberately conceals situation from his father. Journalist Lois manages to break into the mines of Morgan Edge, with the help of Marcus, who she still doesn't know about his being The Stranger.

The fact that Tag escaped from the Department of Defense's facility and injured Jordan made General Sam angry and he send his troops to capture him. When Tag is surrounded and intends to fight back, Superman appears and prevents the army from taking action. However, they still open fire and Superman has to stand by the bullets to protect Tag. What he didn't expect is that General Sam had his troops prepared weapons with Kryptonite bullets which can make him really weak.
This story makes Superman aware that General Sam is always on guard against him.
Morgan Edge wants to please the Lana by offering her a promotion and a pay raise. Initially, Lois tries to persuade Lana to help her investigate Morgan Edge's mines but was refused. Lois enlists Marcus' help to get a press pass to get to the mine; and Marcus fakes two inspectors' pass for get them in.
Lois and Marcus discover the X-Kryptonite in the mine. At that moment Leslie Lar appear and use her eyes to shoot heat beams to kill them both, but Marcus applies a special weapon to knock her unconscious. The fact that Marcus who claims to be a journalist but has a weapon of the military's top secret makes Lois begin to doubt Marcus's true identity.
At the end of the episode, Jordan fells into a state of turmoil and shows an outburst of superpowers out of control that prompts Superman to take him to the Fortress of Solitude.
