Generation Kill is a 2008 television series released on HBO, based on the 2004 war reportage book of the same name by reporter Evan Wright. The film follows the journey of the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion of the United States Marine Corps during the 2003 Invasion of Iraq.

The series is set during the invasion of Iraq, from late March to early April 2003. The episodes were filmed over 6 months from mid to late 2007 in South Africa, Mozambique and Namibia. The film is chronicling the journey of the Battalion, with the principle of authenticity, reflecting the reality taking place on the battlefield.
Generation Kill is not cliché and heroic like many war movies; instead it emphasizes the realism of the war. In the form of a journey, the film does not have the opportunity to depict the profiles or flashback of the characters. However, through the dialogue between them, viewers can get a rough picture of each person's biography.
The film consists of 28 main actors and a large supporting cast. Most of the characters depicted are from the 2nd Platoon of Bravo Company in the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion.
Lee Tergesen plays the war correspondent Evan Wright, assigned to accompany the lead vehicle of the 2nd Platoon of Bravo Company. In this Humvee are Sergeant Brad "Iceman" Colbert (Alexander Skarsgård whom we met recently as Dr. Lind in Godzilla Vs. Kong), Corporal and Driver Josh Ray Person (James Ransone). ) and Harold James Trombley (Billy Lush). These are considered the main characters of the film.
The 1st Reconnaissance Battalion consists of 4 companies: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta. Bravo Company consists of 3 Platoons (1st, 2nd, 3rd), our main characters travel on V-01 vehicle of 2nd Platoon (5 vehicles V-01, V-02, V- 03, V-04, V-05, in which the V-04 vehicle carries the Platoon Commander).
