In Episode 8 (finale) of The Witcher Season 2 - "Family", Geralt and his companions go through a tough battle with the demon Voleth Meir at the fortress.

School of the Wolf's Witchers vs Voleth Meir
In order to take full possession of Ciri's body, Voleth Meir creats a dreamscape in which Ciri's soul could live peacefully: Cintra's lavish court, in the presence of Queen Calentha and Ciri's parents.
In real life, the possessed Ciri begins killing the sleeping witchers at Kaer Morhen.
Voleth Meir used Ciri's power to reveal a monolith hidden in the fortress's lobby, which turns out to be the portal to summon monsters from other spheres.
Geralt and Vesemir try to restrain Ciri while the rest of the witchers battle the monsters. The battle become unequal as Voleth Meir summons increasingly powerful monsters, causing many of Geralt's comrades to perish.
Yen decides to cut her wrists and cast a spell to make herself a host for Voleth Meir to reside in.
Then Ciri uses her power to push Voleth Meir through the transverse portal, but it drags the three to an unknown world, where Voleth Meir leaves Yennefer's body. Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri watch as the Wild Hunt approach them from far away, as if trying to catch Ciri.
Back at Kaer Morhen, Yennefer finds that her magic has been restored. Geralt realizes that Ciri cannot stay at Kaer Morhen because many forces are trying to hunt her down, and they will come here.
Controversial politics on the continent
Convinced that the Northern Kingdoms were the culprits in her daughter's assassination, Francesca uses magic to kill the babies in Redania.
Information about Ciri and the prophecy began to spread everywhere. Thinking that King Vizimir was looking for Ciri to serve his hegemony, the Wizard Brotherhood and the other northern kings assemble, and place a bounty on those who can kill Ciri and her protectors.
Istredd also tells Francesca about the bloodline of Ciri; and Francesca realizes Ciri would be the savior of the Elves as prophesied by the Ancient God Ithlinne.
In Cintra, Emperor Emhyr (Bart Edwards) himself came to the Court, identifying himself as Duny, that is, Ciri's father. Fringilla and Cahir claim that they had killed Francesca's child as a plan to incite conflict between the Elves and the North.
However, Emhyr declares that it was he who did it. Convinced that Fringilla and Cahir are lying, Emhyr orders their arrest.
