In the "Out of the Ashes" episode of The Walking Dead Season 11, directed by Greg Nicotero and written by LaToya Morgan, the Alexandrian people go to the ruins of Hilltop in search of tools for reinforcing the walls of their settlement. They meet the former Whisperers of Alpha who are living a miserable life.

Before that, the weak walls of Alexandria could not withstand the successive attacks of the undead. Aaron seems to have become increasingly agitated because of his untenable fear for his daughter Gracie. When he catches a masked man at Hilltop, Aaron (Ross Marquand) uses strong methods to interrogate; causing Carol to intervene.
Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) eventually reach a backup spot on their way to the Meridian area, which provides them with supplies.
The ex-foes spend the night there until the next morning in the hope that the survivors of the group would make it there. Negan suggests bringing some of food and supplies here back to Alexandria and ending the journey. Maggie disagrees and the two continue to argue.
