Rand, Mat and Thom

Knowing that the Fade minions are approaching for them, Rand, Mat and Thom flee the village, and stay overnight with a rural family.

Thom tells Rand that he suspects Mat may be a One Power channeller. Mat's suspicious behavior resembles that of Owyn, Thom's grandson, who was able to channel the Power but was later gentled by Aes Sedai and killed himself.

That night, the entire farmer's family was killed by Fade. Thom distracts the Fade so Rand and Mat can escape.

Egwene and Perrin

Egwene and Perrin travel with the nomads Tinkers, towards Tar Valon.

Illa (Maria Doyle Kennedy) the patriarch of the nomad group explains to Egwene why they follow the The Way of the Leaf, and has vowed never to use violence.

A young man Aram (Daryl McCormack) enthusiastically shows his interest in Egwene, although he also guesses that she already has a man in her heart.

Aes Sedai and the Self-proclaimed Dragon Reborn

Moiraine is healed by Aes Sedai Kerene and she quickly regains her magic. Liandrin (Kate Fleetwood) of the Reds wants to take a heavy hand against the Dragon Reborn Logain, that is, to sever his connection with the One Force. However, the others want to bring Logain Ablar (Álvaro Morte) to the White Tower for trial.

Moiraine thinks that Logain could be the real Dragon Reborn, but Lan thinks that Logain is much older than the prophets.

Suddenly, Logain's army of henchmen come to attack the convoy as soon as Logain uses One Power to escape. Green Ajah's Kerene Nagashi (Clare Perkins) is killed while trying to protect Moiraine and Liandrin from Logain's deadly attack, while Lan's throat is slashed to the certain dead end.

Pained by Lan's impending death, Nynaeve screams and inadvertently summons a beautiful Power One, magically healing Lan and the wounded Aes Sedai instantly. After recovering, Liandrin and the Aes Sedai teamed up to gentle Logain.
