The episode flashbacks to the scene where Nynaeve (Zoë Robins) escapes from a Trolloc capturing her during the raid at village, and ambushes to kill it in a pond.
Egwene (Madeleine Madden) and Perrin (Marcus Rutherford) are chased by a pack of wolves, but the animals seem to be leading the two to find the Tuatha'an or the Tinkers - a group of peaceful nomads. They are welcomed and helped by this group.
Mat (Barney Harris) and Rand (Josha Stradowski) walk through the wilderness in another direction, and finally run into a village and a pub.
There, they meet a fleeman, Thom Merrilin (Alexandre Willaume) and Mat has his wallet stolen by him. But then, Thom rescues them from an supporter of the Fade (Darkfriend) who is the female tavern owner.
Lan Mandragoran (Daniel Henney) convinces Nynaeve to treat Moiraine, but the medicine by Nynaeve can only buy Moiraine more time. Moiraine then recovers a little, just enough for them to continue their journey on horses.
On the way, they are fortunate to meet the Aes Sedai crew escorting the self-claimed Dragon Reborn Logain Ablar (Álvaro Morte), a channeller with extremely powerful black One Power.
