The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 13: The Butcher Gargles with Whisky [Review]

In the episode "Warlords" of the series The Walking Dead Season 11, Lance Hornsby sends a talented "assassin", Carlson, to an apartment complex of a "gang" to eliminate them and recover a cart of supplies and weapons allegedly stolen by them.

Lance used to send teams of guards to this apartment building, but they were all neutralized from the roof of the building. Fearing that the deployment of many guards will attract Governor Pamela's attention, Lance tries to both convince and coerce Carlson (Jason Butler Harner), a former CIA agent, to find a way to get inside the building as a "peacemaker" or "recruiter", but the hidden goal is to become assassin.

To create an appearance of gentleness and honesty, Carlson pulled Aaron and the well-costumed Gabriel into the game.

Carlson's cruel act shows that the other face of the Commonwealth which is just as dark and bloodthirsty as what Alpha or Negan were forced to do in the past.

A pleasant surprise is that Negan seems to be taking shelter in this apartment building. He asks a young Guard during the internship period - who panicked by Carlson's actions, to run to Alexandria for Maggie's help. The young man is shot on his running horse and die at the gate of Alexandria after giving Lydia a map marked with the location.

Not knowing who needed help, Maggie was hesitant at first because she thought that Alexandria's condition was still difficult, unable to reach out to help others; however, she then decides to leave with Elijah and Lydia - who had previously planned to join the Commonwealth.
