Filming for Season 3 of The Witcher series has begun in Slovenia, in a snowy winter setting. The first photo at the set includes 3 main characters: Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer.

The series producer also released the official synopsis of Season 3:
❝As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it.

Previously, Henry Cavill playing Geralt posted several pictures of his time with the black horse Hector as Roach in the film. The actor had started his physical work-out and horseback riding to prepare for the role. In The Witcher game and movies, Geralt names all his horses "Roach".
The Witcher Season 3 is expected to be released in 2023, most likely at the end of the year as usual for the previous 2 seasons.
