Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth's repressive and harsh rule make Jedi Ahsoka Tano upset and the Jedi challenges to ask her surrender and release the captives. The Magistrate is afraid of Jedi Ahsoka Tano's fighting power, so she asks Mando to kill her, offering a rare staff made of pure beskar as the bounty.

Mando plans to work his way in order to obtain the guidance on how to find the Jedi. After a brief battle because Mando and the Jedi do not know each other, Mando present his ultimate purpose of giving Baby Yoda to her to raise and train.

Jedi Ahsoka reveals that Baby Yoda's real name was Grogu, who has the "Force" taught by many Jedi Masters, but now Grogu's memory is just dark because he intentionally hides his powers to survive through many disasters in his life. She refuses to receive Grogu because she thinks she is incapable and her bond with him seems to be weak.

After being revealed by Mando about the Magistrate's intentions, Jedi Ahsoka persuades Mando to coordinate an attack against the Magistrate. At Calodan Castle, Jedi Ahsoka with her light swords fights with the Magistrate in beskar staff, meanwhile, Mando deals with her courtiers and robotic guards.

Defeating the Magistrate, Jedi Ahsoka asks her to tell the whereabouts of Grand Admiral Thrawn (we still don't know what Jedi Ahsoka's purpose to find Thrawn) and gives Mando a precious staff as his reward.

Jedi Ahsoka also suggests Mando bring Grogu to the planet Tython, placing the boy on top of an ancient temple ruins so the Child could choose his own path: if Grogu uses the Force, then a Jedi would hear and find him.
