Landing on the planet Tython and to the temple ruins as directed by Jedi Ahsoka Tano, Mando Djarin places Grogu on a stone in the middle surrounded by high rocks. When Grogu begins to make a connection with the sacred temple and a supernatural ring of light appears around him, Mando discovers the Slave I ship appears in the sky. Unable to go through the circle of light to take Grogu and run back to the Razor Crest, Mando is  forced to jog down the valley to prepare for battle.

He soon confronts his "rivals", being Boba Fett (Morrison) and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) - who once had a grudge against Mando in Chapter 5. Fennec Shand reveals that Fett saved her from death when she was left in the desert and now she serves him. They ask Mando to return the beskar armor that Mando obtained in Chapter 9 which is believed to be owned by Fett's father and he is the rightful heir, in exchange for helping him to protect the highly-wanted Grogu. Mando hesitates to take this offer because he thinks Boba Fett is not the right Mandalorian and thus cannot own that old beskar armor.

At this moment the carriers of the former Empire army slashes the air rushing forward. Mando rushes back to the temple ruins to protect Grogu, while Fennec Shand and Boba Fett get ready to fight the incoming enemies.

Despite being outnumbered by the White Troopers, Shand still makes the former Empire suffered with only a rifle and impressive combat skills, while Fett is flashing around with a Tusken gaffi.

Mando tries to penetrate the circle of light to take Grogu again but is knocked back unconsciously by its energy. Waking up, he rushs down to join the battle tô buy more time for Grogu. Boba takes the chance that Razor Crest's door is left open to get in and take his armor and he returns as a battle-changing superhero.

Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), observing the fight from his light cruiser in the high atmosphere, fires a missile that destroys Mando's Razor Crest completely and dispatchs a team of Dark Troopers to capture the now-sleeping Grogu. Mando tries to stop it but fails.

Boby Fett and Shand pledge to help Mando take Grogu back from Moff Gideon. The trio travel to the planet Nevarro to have Cara Dune now Marshal of the New Republic find the whereabouts of a character who could become an important part of the rescue plan:  Mayfeld (Bill Burr) who once tried to cheat Mando in Chapter 6 but trapped in prison instead.
