In Chapter 15 "The Believer", team of warriors consisting of Mando, Cara Dune, Shand and Boba Fett and temporarily-released prisoner Mayfeld execute a sophisticated plan: to break into the base of a refinery of rhydonium explosive on the planet Morak to obtain the coordinates of Moff Gideon's ship where Grogu is being captured.

On the planet Morak, Mando and Mayfeld take down some ex-Empiral transporters and put on their uniforms, and then drive their trailer to the refinery. Along the way, the trailer is attacked by local pirates who want to detonate the rhydonium on the trailer. Mando doesn't wear beskar armor at the moment, this makes him a little vunerable in the fight against the many pirates coming over and over.
At the refinery's operating center, Mando tries to access the network to download data about the location of the Moff Gideon's ship. To do this, he must uncover the helmet for the camera to scan his face in order to permit access to the system. In general, he has to show his face nice and clear for quite a while.
They are unluckily approached by a commander and are dragged into a messy conversation with him about the galaxy politics. Mayfeld gets angry at the commander's dark malice, so suddenly shoots him. Mando and Mayfeld are then involved in a struggling fight to escape the command center, with the 3 other allies keep firing from the outside to support them.
Completing the mission, Shand allows Mayfeld to be set free, supposing that he had died in battle. Having obtained the coordinates of Moff Gideon, Mando sent a holygram threatening message to him.
