King of Monsters Godzilla shows up in the newly released trailer of Apple TV+'s 10-episode series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. The series is scheduled to broadcast weekly on this online platform from November 7, 2023.

The cinematic MonsterVerse begins with the 2014 Godzilla movie, followed by 2017's Kong: Skull Island, then 2019's Godzilla: King of the Monsters involving the battles between Godzilla and other Titans such as the Seven-Headed Ghidora and Jodan; and most recently Godzilla vs Kong 2021. It becomes increasingly obvious to humans that that monsters are real and that sharing this earth with them is something inevitable.
After their father disappeared, young siblings discover encrypted documents about the Monarch and think he was working for it. They embark on an adventure to discover the secrets of Monarch, and that journey leads them to mysterious worlds where monsters still reign and thrive.
The trailer introduces a "world is on fire and millions of lives at stake", but it's unclear where the series' main villain comes from. Godzilla suddenly appears in the middle of a sand desert when some help is needed, according to a character.
It is possible that the series continues to portray Godzilla's role as the lord of monsters and protector of the Earth, but to fulfill this role Godzilla will have to face challenges from other monsters as well as humans.
When the trailer was released, the fans show their appraisal for the visual effects and magnificence of this television series, no less than a blockbuster theater movie.
