In Episode 7, "Open your eyes", Siddiq lately discovers that Dante is the guy behind all the bad happenings in the Alexandria. Dante is actually a Whisperer sent by Alpha to ruin the survivors from inside. He is the one opening Siddiq's eyes with his hands, forcing him to witness the execution of many survivors in Season 9. And in this episode, he is the one saying the last words to Siddiq "Close your eyes".
Negan does not appear in this episode, meanwhile Carol takes further bold actions to track down the whereabouts of the Alpha's herd. However, most of her plans have not brought about results for various reasons, including the destructive hands of the hidden spy.
